SUPER SPEEDER
In 2010 the Georgia Super Speeder law became effective for all motorists who drive in Georgia, including travelers with out of state licenses. A person will be cited as a Super Speeder if they are driving 75 MPH or more on a two-lane highway or 85 MPH or more on a four-lane highway. The law imposes a separate $200.00 “super speeder” fee which is in addition to any court fines imposed by the city or county where you received your ticket. If convicted, your ticket is reported to the Georgia Department of Driver Services and they require payment in full within 120 days. If the fine is not paid on time, your license will be suspended.
